|
| Prime
Minister John Howard visited the Warnverale Family & Community Centre
on Friday 5 March along with Federal Member for Dobell, Mr Ken Ticehurst
to formally announce a Federal Grant which will fund the Centre for the
next 2 years!!
Thanks to Mr Ticehurst for his efforts on
behalf of the Centre and to the Australian Government for the result.
|
| A
petition was successful in swaying Local Council to reject the development
application for 55 units on Warnervale Road, in its present form.
It's amazing what the community can do when people all work together.
|
| Warnervale
Family & Community Centre wants to start a WARNERVALE REGIONAL CHOIR
and is calling for expressions of interest from primary school children to
form this group. It will cost $2.00 per child per week (free to
those on benefits). If you are interested please contact Cheryl on
4392 8734 to register your details. Dates and time to be advised.
|
| Another
gain for our residents has been the imposing of a 4.5 tonne load limit on
Minnesota Road between Sparks & Warnervale Roads. Thank you to
Wyong Shire Council and Wyong Traffic Committee.
